You will not beat this property's location. Clean and well stocked, they provide everything you may need. It's our second time staying here, and we will be back. We use it as a base for sightseeing from Bodega Bay to Point Reyes. Just wish we had a longer vacation.

Breaking Waves was incredible. Great floor plan, comfortable beds, fully stocked kitchen, fantastic entertainment suite and a view to die for. We have stayed at several rentals in Dillon Beach and Breaking Waves is by far our favorite. Thank you for a wonderful week.

It's the best view you will ever have for an American vacation. Maybe you can beat it somewhere else in the world but not in the U.S. It's simply an AWESOME (proper use of the word) place to wake up. <br/>The kitchen is very well equipped. The Wifi is strong and the beds are comfy. The hot water works well and the toilets flush right. <br/>My only knock would be the outdoor cushions are hard to get down from their perch and the outdoor furniture could use an upgrade but with that view you're not bothered by much. The staff at Wine Country are very responsive and helpful. Had a raccoon get into the foundation one night and they took care of it quickly. Good people.

We had a wonderful trip to Dillon Beach. It was our first time there and the property was perfect, very relaxing. If you are looking for a vacation with lots to do, this is NOT the place for you. It is the perfect retreat though for those looking to unwind and disconnect. Nothing beats sleeping listening to the ocean right outside the window.

My friend and I chose Breaking Waves as our beachfront getaway and it did not disappoint. From the moment you enter through the front door, you are greeted by a very impressive view of the pacific ocean. The home was thoroughly cleaned and the beds were very comfy. The property management team was super easy to communicate with and available to answer any questions. Highly recommend this home.

If you are looking for a quiet, peaceful place to stay, this is it. The drive into the Dillion Beach area is absolutely beautiful, and it just kept getting better and better the closer we got to the property. We were greeted by 14 deer our first morning there including 6 fawns. They were not bothered by me standing on the deck watching them eat. The cottage is as pictured, cozy and quiet. Exactly what I needed!

We absolutely loved our stay at Breaking Waves. It was the perfect ocean front home for my wife and I and our 2 year old daughter. It was very kid friendly and one of the best views in the entire neighborhood. The beds were very comfortable with a variety of pillows to choose from depending on your sleeping style. There were a bunch of games to play and toys for kids in a toy chest in one of the bedrooms. The entertainment center was very easy to use. We were able to connect our phones to the Sonos system immediately. However, we really didn’t need to because there was already music playing when we walked in. Plenty of warm blankets and towels. Great kitchen, cooked some amazing pasta and grilled some steaks outside. The grill ran out of propane but there was a spare waiting! We saw many animals from the patio including deer, bobcats, pelicans, and vultures. The really high ceilings made the space feel incredibly spacious but the size and decor of the house made it very cozy. 5-10 minute walk to the beach and a 2 minute drive to the beach parking.<br/><br/>The only things I would change would be having the windows and patio glass cleaned. It was really hard to see through. I thought it was just condensation but we found an old squeegee and did our best to clean off the windows and could see through them easily for the rest of the trip. The other thing I would fix would be the deck. The side gate to the bbq was broken and there were a few areas on the deck where I had to pay close attention to my daughter due to a few rusty nails.<br/><br/>Other than these minor issues, this home was incredibly well loved and I imagine the family it belongs to has had countless cherished memories of their lovely seaside home. I’m grateful my family and I could create memories of our own here.<br/>

The house was very nice and the location was amazing! The view was incredible. The house was clean and as expected. It wasn’t exactly a simple walk down to the beach. It rained while we were there so it didn’t matter to us. The kitchen was well-stocked. The mattresses were hard so that made for restless nights. We did appreciate the space heaters and extra blankets. The odd part was a tv that would suddenly turn on, full blast, on its own and then back off again. It happened a few times the first day and that was it. Very weird! That being said, we would absolutely go again. Especially if they replace those mattresses.

The house was very nice and the location was amazing! The view was incredible. The house was clean and as expected. It wasn’t exactly a simple walk down to the beach. It rained while we were there so it didn’t matter to us. The kitchen was well-stocked. The mattresses were hard so that made for restless nights. We did appreciate the space heaters and extra blankets. The odd part was a tv that would suddenly turn on, full blast, on its own and then back off again. It happened a few times the first day and that was it. Very weird! That being said, we would absolutely go again. Especially if they replace those mattresses.

The view at this property is worth a million dollars. It is perfect for a couple or a small family since it is on the smaller side. it is clean and comfortable but could use some updates. I would stay here again if we end up going back to Dillon Beach.

We can trip for birthday home was as described. Fantastic view could not ask for anything more. We had deer on the side of the house when we woke up in the morning and pelicans flying out in front.

Good location, awesome views, clean and had everything we wanted. To be honest, the house and furniture are a bit worn. However, it's pleasant, comfortable and homey. Also it's not cluttered with superfluous kitchen supplies or decorative features (two of my pet peeves with rental homes). Two surprises that we especially appreciated were the tray of goodies from the management agency, and the very extensive DVD collection, presumably from the owners. Wifi was great, TV and DVD player were easy to use. Neighborhood is quiet. Loved being right by the ocean, staring out at the sea, hearing the waves, watching the birds & deer, and seeing the moon and stars on clear nights. It IS the California coast in summer, so there was often fog in the mornings, usually clear in the afternoons. We drove either north to Bodega Bay or south to Point Reyes every day, took a hike, went out to dinner. Had a great 5 days! We were happy to be there and would definitely stay there again.

We were on a road trip with my Mom and sister and we fell in love with the Breaking Waves Home and the Dillon Beach community. The wildlife (birds, deer, even a few dolphins passing by the home) was extraordinary and the binoculars included in the home came in handy. It was foggy some of the days but that comes with being in a natural setting. The house has everything needed. It is very clean, with beautiful wood work, decoration and the kitchen is thoughtfully equipped. <br/><br/>Good to know: The loft bed is a tight space and there is no third bedding automatic included in case someone wanted to sleep in the loft bed. The walk to the community beach is further than we thought and comes with up and down hills. It was too much for my Mom who uses a walker. Just thought these practical items might be good to know.<br/><br/>The house comes with a higher prize tag but sometimes memories made are so worth it! We enjoyed our stay tremendously and had a wonderful time!!

House accommodated the 3 of us well. From what we could tell, there are 2 queen sized beds, 1 lofted small twin bed (very high!! with ladder). Kitchen is well stocked with appropriate cooking gear. Dining table large. Living room couches are long, spacious and comfortable. View is beautiful and bright. Deck space is wonderful, but often too windy to appreciate. We were there mid July x 3 days. Fog banked over us the entire time. In-town grocery store is small but extremely well stocked with high end, quality items. An easy 1/2 mile walk away. Neighborhood is extremely quiet. Very few people in the area when we were there. The beach is about a 10 minute walk away.

The view was perfect for my elderly mother to enjoy ocean watching. The rental was comfortable and the agency easy to communicate with. I did have to bring appropriate equipment for my mom. Would suggest minor updates for deck furniture, have all blinds in working order, and we had some ants. There were coffee grinds in the coffee maker. I thought the rental price a bit steep for a cabin but the view made it worthwhile.

We had an amazing time at Breaking Waves... because of the view and because of the people (family time). Incredible location, especially for those who prefer to walk or bike into town and to the beach.<br/><br/>However, having paid a similar price per night to staying at the Ritz Carlton... there were several basics lacking:<br/><br/>Laundry detergent (we had to buy it).<br/>Sheets and blankets for the loft or couch-falsely advertised as "sleeps five" (management company had to deliver next day after my son froze with only an afghan to use in the drafty loft).<br/>And extra set of towels would be nice... 4 towels for 4 people for 3 days... a bit stingy, especially when laundry supplies are not stocked. <br/><br/>We also had some trouble with bugs... ants in the kitchen upon arrival and found a tick on the couch upon arrival too. Nature I suppose, downside of all the deer that are nice to watch. <br/><br/>But hey, did I mention the location? :-)

It was Christmas eve and our reservation was canceled... We thought all was lost until we contacted the property owner who offered us this place, even though it was last minute. They even ran through and turned the heat on for us. It's a lovely place right on the water. Amazing views! Great Service

What a wonderful location between Bodega Bay and Tomales Bay with the expansive views. As the neighboring houses were empty, we felt like we had the whole promontory to ourselves. As a big windstorm blew on Saturday night, we were cozy in the house listening to the house creaking - if only there was a fireplace. Thanks for providing us with another holiday's memories. The home was very clean and well stocked with everything we needed. Having a washer and dryer was a big plus. The management staff was very responsive and helpful. We would recommend this home.

The vacation stay was wonderful. Breaking Waves was the perfect rental, and the scenery was incredible. The wild life we were able to see a memory that my family will always remember. On my wife's Birthday, we used the binoculars at the rental and watched 4 dolphins swimming in the ocean. I have been coming to Dillions Beach for years and never saw dolphins, that was a sight to see. The rental itself was nice and cozy, great kitchen, space and all around perfect for the beach. The parking was a bit steep, but it worked. The bathroom, living room and bedrooms and beds were great. I will definitely go back soon as we all had a time of peace and relaxation. I would recommend this rental to anyone, and I say this with sincerity, and not just saying it. Breaking Waves was awesome!

This property was exactly what we were looking for and was as described. There were good views from the master bedroom, kitchen and living area. We stayed in the Breaking Waves house in June and had an amazing vacation. The view is breathtaking ! The location is perfect. The wraparound balcony is incredible. The house is very close to Dillon Beach (10 minutes walk, or a few mins of drive) which is lovely. Dillon Beach is very dog friendly and our two dogs loved it. The house was very clean, very comfortable and perfect size for us. Everything worked great including the TV and all appliances in the kitchen, and the Wifi connection was very good. The management company checked in on us on our first day to let us know that if we needed anything they were there to help, which was very nice. Overall, we had a wonderful time, loved the house, and will definitely return !

My wife and I spent a long weekend at Breaking Waves and loved it. It's the perfect location for venturing up and down PCH 1. We visited oyster farms, went sailing in Bodega Bay and hit wineries along the Sonoma Coast. All the cities in Napa and Sonoma valleys are within an hour drive, but there's so much to do up and down the coast, you might not even want venture too far. <br/><br/>The pictures don't do this place justice. Boys rated this holiday weekend better than anything else over the (very busy, fun, interesting) summer. Much time spent on pretty-much-private cove. Boogie boarding galore. Moonlight runs on the beach with our headlamps, admiring the stars. Kite flying. Board games. Views beautiful. We all agreed lose a star for the bathroom/shower. Otherwise truly awesome.

We came for Thanksgiving 2013 and had a Great time! Stayed for 5 days. The sun was out EVERY day. The beach is a 5 min walk. The home overall is in good shape. Has a Ton of utensils in the kitchen. The garbage can is tiny, so be prepared to bring home a little trash... Also, strap the bungy cord so animals don't get into it and then you have to clean everything up in the driveway... Called in a water rescue and CHP Chopper showed up to pick up 2 kayakers that were nearly swept out to sea after overturning. Crab Sandwiches in Bodega Bay are Great! Will Definitely be back~

This is such an amazing ocean view rental. It's cozy and cabin-y and comfy! Everything you could possibly need is available. Great for a couple or small family getaway. The property management folks are awesome!! We will go again!

Very comfortable, well equipped vacation home in a spectacular setting. Felt like the ocean was in our living room/dining room/kitchen. Right on the ocean with easy beach access, and in a lovely and quiet residential neighborhood. Not for big gatherings. Perfect for a couple. A fireplace and hot tub would have been great additions, but other than that it was perfect. Falling asleep listening to the ocean every night - so relaxing and peaceful!

Dillon Beach Property Management was great to deal with - we were looking for a last minute rental, and they were very helpful and were able to offer us a fantastic property. I had contacted a few contacts on other websites before whose customer service was absolutely terrible compared to Dillon Beach Property Management. We'll be renting from them in the future for sure!
