What's not to love about this place? A beautiful, tastefully decorated, fully stocked, clean, cozy, private getaway, with all the conveniences one would want. Excellent proximity to the town, attention to detail, and comfort. Did we mention how clean it was? It's pet-friendly, but you'd never know it. Sun-soaked with a ton of character highlighted by the many windows and skylights. It's designed with great care, and we were surprised by all the amenities. Thank you to Stace for making this place available.

Absolutely wonderful stay! We so enjoyed our time at Stace’s cabin — it was incredibly clean, beautifully designed, and cozy with many thoughtful essentials and amenities. Communication with the host was seamless and she and her team went out of their way to make sure we had extra items we requested for grilling/baking/etc, which we especially appreciated given the holiday season. We can’t wait for the next time we get to stay either at Sydney’s River Retreat or one of their other sister properties!

I so enjoyed my stay at Sydney’s River Retreat; a stunning and relaxing space tucked amongst the redwoods. The space itself is comfortable and well appointed with incredible views abound and a lovely hot tub to soak your cares away. Our stay at Sydney’s river retreat was amazing. They really did think of everything . The kitchen is fully stocked with spices and cookware, and the complimentary snacks were such a sweet touch. Our dog loved the home and the food dish for him was so nice, we plan to buy him one just like it.The binder of information is super helpful and gives directions and information on every thing you need to know.The hot tub under the redwoods was so serene and relaxing .We loved having floats to take to the river and the fans in each bedroom were perfect.When we walked in there was beautiful light jazz playing and it was such a warm welcome. The home is so nicely decorated and organized. It was truly a wonderful stay.Can’t say enough great things about our stay there and we look forward to coming back again.

Sydney’s river retreat is an amazing cottage/cabin hidden in the hills and trees. There are a few stairs to climb to get into the property but reviews had let us know this ahead of time so we came with bags prepared to walk the short walk up. We arrived in the dark later in the evening and the stairs are on a timer which helped us see in the dark. The property was very clean and tidy and the kitchen is very well equipped with everything you could need. There is a Safeway not far away for anything you may have forgotten. We also used the bbq which is just outside. The bathrooms were clean each bathroom has a shower, toilet and sink. Both balconies are beautiful in their own right and we really enjoyed sitting listening to the stream and birds in the morning and sitting in the hot tub on the other. We did have an issue but the property manager was very quick to come help. After a long day hiking we really appreciated the quick response time. There are so many state parks close by and the beach is only 20 mins down the road we loved exploring everything it had to offer and would love to visit again in the future.

This cabin was a perfect weekend escape. It was very private and the hot tub made the weekend. Of all short-term rentals, this one was one of the most well-stocked (with kitchen supplies and extra bedding) and comfortable that I've stayed in.

Once you get past that long walk upstairs, this place is AMAZING! Super private, peaceful, and the house is comfortable and adorable. You’re surrounded by trees and can even see the river a bit! Would HIGHLY recommend and would come back again! Thank you!

This cabin is tucked away off the Russian River. Serene, lovely, and well taken care of. Kitchen is up to date, accompanied by great kitchen accessories. Two large decks and a jacuzzi make hanging in the woods even better. We appreciate Stace’s hospitality and we will definitely be back!

Peaceful and private home nestled in the tree tops. Comfortable beds and bedding, and the kitchen was well stocked. The house is within walking distance to the river and downtown. I would stay again.

We stayed here for a race weekend and it was the perfect spot! The location was perfect - we were able to walk downtown and it was so close to the river. We had a great time and will definitely remember this place for a future visit!

Great blend of upscale amenitie.s and a cabin in the woods. The kitchen was extremely well stocked with everything we needed to prepare our meals. Lovely wood serving pieces and even a decent supply spices. The house was warm, inviting, and perfect for our group of four. Stace gave great recommendations for hiking and wineries. We enjoyed it all. A very relaxing stay in the redwoods.

Very clean, cozy, nicely decorated and secluded up hillside even with neighbors in close proximity.Fully equipt kitchen, spice drawer, organized, misc hooks, complimentary snacks, comfy beds & bedding, bluetooth speakers, hot tub, extra toiletries, Motrin, feminine products, shower products, toothbrush, etc…Apple watch & phone chargers at bedside, super handy.Skylights and windows throughout which gave natural light.Pull out couch essentially is like a full size bed.They really did think of most everything!! Our family of 5 enjoyed our stay.NO firepit although I was told there was one before booking later to be told after check in the home doesn’t have one. Only thing missing was the ambience of a fire.We chose not to bring our pups however it is dog friendly, checking out the surrounding I see it would’ve been tough letting them out to go potty since we couldn’t access vegetation from deck areas and tons of stairs to climb.

Girlfriend weekend. We spent a lot of time on the front deck listening to the river and the birds sing! Armstrong Redwoods is a short drive for a great hike. Beautiful property. We enjoyed our stay.

They were not playing when they mentioned they’d be a lot stairs but the privacy and views were absolutely worth it. Everything about the house and location were perfect. The hosts were also easy to get in contact with and incredible friendly. We wished our stay was longer and will absolutely be back in the future.

We had a wonderful stay at this cabin! The biggest pro is how secluded it felt being up in the trees while still being close to town. It rained during our stay but we still enjoyed the hot tub and how well stocked the kitchen was. We did have issues with the Apple hub device which controlled the outdoor lighting and had trouble communicating with property managers due to not having service. Owners offered to come in person to fix but we declined due to it being our last day. Would definitely stay again!

Great place to come and unwind , love the two decks and the fact that it’s totally enclosed and dog friendly is a bonus . Close to the river , coast , stores , everything you can’t go wrong !

We enjoyed this home a lot. Place is beautiful, clean, and well-equipped. We brought our fur baby too and he had a great time as well. Close to downtown and shops. Host was quick to respond when we asked her to troubleshoot the hot tub. Overall, great experience! Will definitely book again. Thank you!

I took my daughter and her friends on a birthday trip to this location. It is a great, quiet spot in the woods and an easy drive downtown. The home had everything we needed and was extremely well-appointed.
