The location was great, views were beautiful, and the space was perfect for our group. We loved the deck, fire table and hot tub. Furniture was comfy, kitchen stocked with all the cooking items/utensils we needed. The only comment a couple of the "cooks" in our group had was that the kitchen could use a little more lighting. Would definitely stay here again.

The Best Vacation Homes in the Bodega Bay area.
Excellent near-home escape
Reviewed on 2025-11-08 by , Menlo Park, CA United StatesWe live in the center of Silicon Valley. This home is a lovely near-by escape with comfortable accommodations. We are only two people, so the place was very spacious. We enjoyed the hot-tub after long hikes. The kitchen is reasonably well equipped for those of us who do our own cooking because of dietary restrictions. My suggestions for the owner/manager is to buy a new mattress for the master bedroom (scooching towards the center helps for now). The master bedroom is in need of a shade or other window covering for one upper level window. The morning sun will wake you up (this was in the autumn).

Short walk to the beach trail - loved the deck!

We really enjoyed the little gas fire-pit on the deck, it was just enough to take the chill off even though we had great weather. The umbrella was nice on the deck as well, it did get a little hot and sunny at one point too, so both things made the deck really enjoyable - the three of us spent a lot of time there and the furniture was comfy too. The kitchen was well stocked and open to the family room. One thing you should know is the bedroom situation is a little unusual, although it worked for the three of us perfectly. The master bedroom with a very comfortable king bed, glass door to the deck, and awesome view (gorgeous to see the moonlight on the water) does not have an attached bathroom, but the bathroom right next door is very nice and it is close. The bedroom with double bunk beds has the ensuite bathroom. The third sleeping area is in a loft that is up a few stairs but basically open, so no privacy there. Not sure how it would work for more than one couple, but for the family of three of us it was perfect. Would defiantly stay again with our family of three.

The kitchen was pristine to make our meals, and all the rooms were comfortable and clean. The hot tub was perfect after our long hikes and activities, and the telescope was an added bonus for stargazing. Would definitely love to come back or recommend to others.
