The overall process and communication were good. The house did have some maintenance issues, including the shower, non-working locks, and blinds that weren’t functioning properly. However, the view and the time we spent together made the experience what I had hoped for.

The view is unbeatable. There was plenty of space for our family, and the hot tub was a great addition! We also really enjoyed the deer in the neighborhood, the quiet community, and the country roads to travel on. We hope to return to this house again one day! I’m so glad we chose this home to stay in. The view surpassed our expectations. We highly recommend!

The good; lots of room, nice furniture, great kitchen upgrades, beds were comfortable, clean linens, wonderful views of the ocean, and quiet neighborhood with lots of deer.<br/><br/>The cons; house wasn’t very clean, dust and cobwebs, base of toilets need scrubbing. Hall tub needs to be bleached including the nonslip mat. Bathrooms are very old, not updated in any way, with old faucets that are hard to work, the worst one is the shower (crusty). Both bathroom’s tub and shower are tiled with old 1” tiles and old dark grout (even the base of the tub). Washer had issues, it wouldn’t stop running, both toilets need work, and due to the age of the house there is a constant musty smell.

It was everything described, photos included.<br/>House floor plan is perfect, it's a panoramic view the moment you wake up! Downstairs is perfect for privacy. The way the houses are set up you feel secluded, even though they are close. We barely saw anyone. It was a very nice stay for my family and i. I would definately rent again in the future and have already recommended it to several friends, looking for family stays.

Great spot for a family getaway! The house was the perfect size and we loved that we could bring our dog. The deck had amazing ocean views and it was fun watching the deer wander by.<br/>A few tips for future guests: the driveway is very steep, the kitchen doesn’t have much in the way of basics (no salt), and you’ll want to bring your own beach towels and toys. Overall, a super relaxing place to stay!

For the third consecutive year my wife and I hosted our kids, spouses, and grandkids at Dillon Beach for a small family reunion coinsiding with a yearly meeting my wife attends in the Santa Rosa area. Whale Watch was the most nicely furnished and comfortable rental home we have had, and the next time we do this I will certainly check its availability before any of the other homes in the area. If you are considering this home you will not be disappointed, (just don't take my week!)

What a beautiful home! We love the views of Dillon Beach and Lawson’s landing from the the house, brought some good binoculars hopping to see whales swimming by, but maybe next time! Beautiful drive to point Reyes area! Stopped at south beach (beautiful) our dog Mowgli had a blast! On our way back we stopped to eat at Nicks Cove ( good delicious food). It was hard for us to pack up and leave this house!!!!

A large house with 3 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, great room (kitchen, living and dining), lg family room, garage play room. VERY STEEP DRIVEWAY. Did not like the driveway. Wrap around porch. No real outside space, the lot is too steep. Some problems fireplace didn’t work, slider screen door was damaged, one of the steps to the front door was not illuminated. (My husband fell.). Absolutely beautiful view of Dillion Beach and the Pacific.

This house was clean and very well organized and stocked. The view was unbelievable. The beach is close. We would definitely stay there again. We loved the hot tub!

We had a comfortable stay for a family weekend trip to the beach. The living room was great for hanging out and the kitchen and grill made preparing meals very easy. We rented whale watch for my mother’s 75th birthday and my siblings and I couldn’t have been happier. The views seriously can’t be beat. We’ve gone to Dillon beach my whole life and this cabin has better, more expansive views than any place we’ve ever stayed. The ping pong table was a huge hit! The only “issue” that did arise has nothing to do with the home or the owner or the property managers - as they were all amazing - but it has to do with the neighborhoods HOA. My brother and his wife were going to go camping after our weekend and so he had his truck camper (the kind that sits on the bed of the truck) on. At about 9pm my mom noticed someone peering into our cars and when she went out the guy took off. Instead of telling us that the HOA doesn’t allow any form of camper in the neighborhood he ran away and called the owner and property managers and probably woke them up. They both called to let us know about the rule and both were very nice about it and told us where he could park it near the neighborhood, which we did immediately. Anyhow - just a warning that the HOA is pretty intense. They also have a very strict “no more than 4 cars” policy per driveway which was fine for us but just know that ahead of renting! Again, on a whole the cabin was incredible and we would definitely rent again!

I loved my stay at Whale Watch! The location simply cannot be beat. The view from the living room and front deck is postcard perfect and you really feel the majesty of the Pacific coast from the moment you arrive. It’s a short drive or medium walk to the beach, which was perfect for our needs. The kitchen was incredibly spacious and well designed. Fun amenities like the game room with ping pong and foosball tables added a lot to our stay, as did the hot tub. Two of the beds are pull out sofa beds, so plan accordingly. My friends didn’t mind but it could be tough for folks who want their own room or don’t want to share a bed etc. Overall, I’d say this place is a gem: great location, cozy home, and enough space for a medium group to savor the beauty of Tomales Bay and the Pacific Ocean.

Our trip is exactly what we needed! House was very clean! Upstairs is amazing - big open kitchen and family room. Very comfortable couches, beds, etc... We will be back for sure. Notes: Deer lots of deer...after the sun goes down they will be out in the back behind the grill and out front bedded down for the night.! I was surprised at how close they were to the house. We were given 1 towel per person for the whole visit - I wish they had some back up. Also important to note there is NO washer or dryer. Not a big deal but something to keep in mind. We are already looking at when we can go back.

We had a beautiful 3-day stay at Whale Watch. Loved the open and updated kitchen, living and dining space. Good views and house was very clean (appreciated!). Also had ocean view from the primary bedroom (nice!). Unfortunately, we did experience two separate hours-long power outages during our stay. Ended up playing games by lamp light. And no washer/dryer at home, just an FYI. Not listed but we were surprised by this. Property company very responsive and professional.

We really enjoyed our stay at this house. It had a very comfortable living room with a large couch and great views. We enjoyed the game room with dart board, foosball and ping pong. Our dogs were easily managed and the hot tub was enjoyed. The proximity to Dillon Beach is fantastic. Property management was very responsive. Highly recommend.
