Firstly, the home itself was stunning, such beautiful design with great design details throughout and very comfortable furnishings. We had a rainy weekend but were extremely comfortable staying indoors and playing board games.Ontop of that, the surroundings are truly stunning. We felt so relaxed surrounded by a beautiful lush forest and the little creek.I definitely recommend if you’re looking for a comfortable quiet place to stay with a unique and beautiful design, located in a very special place.

Reviewed on 2024-05-08 by SharonOur stay here was simply magical….a group of 6 adults, we found the property beautiful, well kept, super quiet though easily accessible from the road.The backyard is basically a redwood grove, the hot tub is roomy and clean.The property management was responsive (we were missing the door code) and answered right away.Kitchen is well equipped, there are plenty of towels for indoor/ outdoor and generally everything you need for a comfortable stay.Definitely coming back!

Stace and the management company responded to questions almost immediately.The house was comfortable, lots of blankets and throws towels, pillows. Comfortable beds and furniture, nicely designed. Plenty of chairs around a nice big table, one inside and one outside easily accommodated all of us with space for more.The hot tub was clean and hot, just the way you want it.The location was wonderful, uniquely settled into what felt like a grove of redwood trees within a gully. The fog rolled in one day with a bit of rain, and sitting in the hot tub was magical. The neighborhood has a lovely bit of beach within walking distance of the house where you can easily kayak or paddleboard.We all agreed we'd return, and highly recommend this place.

The deck, hot tub, and backyard were new and are private because it abuts a wooded area. Built in bunk beds were great. Awesome kitchen. Walking distance to beach, river, and town. Great location! Definitely coming back at some point.

This place is a GEM! Such a relaxing atmosphere nestled in the redwoods, I loved how family friendly this home was. There was a great selection of games, books, and a basket of toys my toddler was thrilled to discover. A lot of thought went into the design and accommodations in this home. We thoroughly enjoyed our time in Monte Rio!
