The cabin is stocked with all the fundamentals in kitchen etc. It had the sharpest knives I have ever found (most rental knives are super dull). The hot tub was lovely. Access to the creek was awesome too. There are small fish in there! Best part was access to everything in the Russian River area. 13 mins to Guernville, 5 minutes or so to Duncans Mills, probably 15 minutes to Jenner. We had one minor issue in our stay and the management person picked up the phone at 5:30 on a Friday night, which was nice.

We really like that it was not very far of a drive from the city. The coast is very close and convenient. The cabin has a lot of personality. It feels a lot bigger than it is. The loft sleeping area was perfect for my two boys. You do hear cars go by every couple of minutes, but it didn't bother us since we live in the middle of the city. This seemed very peaceful for us. The large privacy fence that is constructed helps a lot. We would recommend this location.

Austin creek sits right behind the house and the views from the patio and the large windows in the house are absolutely beautiful. It is a little steep to get to the creek but there is a great rope line to hang on to that makes it much easier and we had no problem navigating up and down. You just truly can’t get better than playing in the cool but definitely not too cold river during the day then lounging in the hot tub and dinning on the patio right above it after. Definitely a magical little spot!

Super Relaxing

The back patio area is perfect, with hot tub and the relaxing creek right there. I enjoyed my time cycling, reading, and watching movies at this cozy cabin.

Cozy cabin

Cabin is close to both Duncan Mills and Monte Rio for supplies and activities. There is a nice gate out front that makes the property more private. Management company was very helpful and quick to respond. I would just note that although the property does allow dogs, I would caution that it is on a very busy road and it is not fully fenced. If your dog is a wanderer, i would suggest always having them on leash when outside. Would stay here again.

We loved the location and the house itself. Our stay was only tragically interrupted by a heavy storm and we had to emergency-evacuate the house because of damage to the house due to the storm. This is of no fault to anyone, of course. And I thought that Stace handled the situation very well by making contact prior to the storm hitting and taking some precautionary measures. Nobody could have known it was going to get so bad! Stace was very empathetic to our rather traumatic experiences during the storm and forthcoming in reimbursing us for the nights we could no longer stay at the house due to the damage. I sincerely hope that the damage to the house can be repaired - it is a wonderful location worth saving!

It was very comfortable and had everything we needed. We loved the creek view and the privacy. There was even some water in the creek and we enjoyed walking along it. The host was great and when we had some questions we received a prompt response. I have already recommended it to my friends.

Magical Cottage on the Creek

It's rare to find a property this close to water! The patio and the hot tub are great amenities. The cabin is small and quirky, but that's part of the charm. We'll be back.

We loved being at the cozy creek cabin. We felt right at home enjoying our days listening to the creek under the canopy of the trees that surround the cabin. Even before our arrival Stace had given us recommendations for dog friendly outings, local coffee shops and great places to grab a bite. We honestly expected to be out most of the days but found after being out and about, we were very happily headed back to relax in the patio ( which in the morning gets the most beautiful sun) and hot tub under the stars. It was chilly the days of our stay but the outdoor fire and heating lamp made it easy to bundle up and hang out. The inside of the cabin has a cozy, easy feeling and we enjoyed cooking and watching basketball (GO WARRIORS). It’s clear efforts have been made to made this a sweet place to visit. Also wanted to mention we had read earlier reviews of traffic noise, while you are next to the highway and can hear the cars we didn’t find the noise to be bothersome.
